Mountain Leaders

You will be guided by an experienced instructor who holds Mountain Leader qualifications. All of our group leaders are wilderness first aid trained.

Which scrambles we choose to do is dependant on weather conditions but to give you an idea of what to expect here are a few classic routes...

Helvellyn via Striding Edge - Grade 1

One of the most spectacular and best-known ridges in England. Experience a bit of exposure along the ridge of Striding Edge and make your way up to Helvellyn, the third highest mountain in England.

Pavey Arc via Jakes Rake - Grade 1

A classic scramble in the Lakes with fantastic views over the Langdale valley.

Blencathra via Sharpe Edge - Grade 1

Fantastic exposure on this challenging ridge scramble overlooking Keswick and Derwent water.

Equipment Needed

Walking boots / approach shoes, small rucksack, waterproof top and trousers, fleece or warm top, hat and gloves, whistle and water bottles. We will provide you with a full kit list upon booking.

Minimum age: 18


Breakfast and lunches included, in the evening we tend to frequent the local pub.
