Rock Climbing & Abseiling

Rock Climbing & Abseiling

We run a range of rock climbing and abseiling courses and lessons to suit all abilities from our beginner climbing and abseiling courses to rock climbing trips and advanced climbing instruction. Rock climbing is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK, so why not give it a try and see what all the fuss is about?

Why  Learn Rock Climb or Abseil with Hatt Adventures?

Established by stuntman Tom Hatt in 2005, Hatt Adventures has a long standing reputation for providing high quality rock climbing and abseiling courses.

All of our instructors are highly experienced, qualified and are passionate about rock climbing. All of our rock climbing and abseiling instructors are full members of the Mountain Training Association, the professional association for rock climbing instructors. Membership ensures all of our instructors are current and up to date with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and are fully involved in the world of rock climbing. For a full list of our instructors' qualifications please see visit our about us page.

During our rock climbing and abseiling courses we work in small ratios ensuring that you get the very best climbing instruction focused on your needs. Over the years we have taught thousands of people to rock climb including the UK's richest man (who flew to the rocks in his helicopter) and familiar faces such as Matt Baker from BBC's Countryfile and some budding young climbers on CITV's Skillicious.

Beginner Climbing Courses

Our beginner climbing courses are run in the South East at Harrison’s Rocks on the Sussex and Kent border. They teach the essentials of climbing including learning how to tie onto the rope and belaying.

Courses include our Climbing Experience, Climbing and Abseiling Experience and Introduction to Rock Climbing.

Intermediate Climbing Courses

If you’ve been rock climbing before and want to progress further, we offer more in depth climbing instruction including guided climbing trips, sport lead climbing courses and climbing trips to the Peak District, Portland and the Wye Valley.

Advanced Climbing Courses

If you are already lead climbing, then we recommend our self rescue and multi pitch climbing courses which can teach you how to rescue a climbing partner in the event of a climbing emergency or how to swiftly and effectively climb on multi-pitch crags of sea cliffs.
