We give back to nature & the community as part of our Environmental Pledge

Each year since 2018, the team at Hatt Adventures has hosted a River Clean Up event in one of the Sussex and Kent rivers which we regularly visit as part of our courses and day trips.

While we're extremely cautious to leave no trace during our excursions, unfortunately, the UK's waterways have long been subjected to littering and fly-tipping. Any waste that doesn't stay in the river is eventually destined for one place only - the open seas and oceans.

To counter this situation in our local community, we're active participants of the Surfers Against Sewage Million Mile Clean Up initiative. During our non-profit events, members of our team and a group of volunteers spend a day on kayaks removing litter from a river, before disposing of it responsibly.

2022

This year we'll be celebrating the move to our new training centre and shop in Brighton Marina. In early December we're inviting you to join us for a walk along the beach, litter picker in hand as we search the beach at low tide from Brighton Marina towards Rottingdean and back. During the winter months the storms often leave huge amounts of litter high up on the beaches.
