Adventure activities licensing ensures that activity providers follow good safety management practices. These should allow young people to experience exciting and stimulating activities outdoors without being exposed to avoidable risks of death or disabling injury.

We are licensed for the following activities: Kayaking, Canoeing, Improvised Rafting, Rock Climbing, Abseiling, Hill Walking and Mountaineering.

Risk Assessments

As we are AALA License holders, all of our risk Risk Assessments have been inspected, however, copies are available upon written request.

Before applying to see our risk assessments please read the following: AALA has informed us that clients or organisations requesting to see our Risk Assessments are accepting a part of the legal responsibility for them, and thereby they become partly liable in law should anything covered by them go wrong. This is maybe connected with the principle that the client/organisation becomes cognisant of the risks involved, and if you are asking to see the assessments it is assumed that you have read and understand and accept everything in them, and with the best will in the world people from one industry will not usually be able fully to understand the intricacies of another.

Please note that we are not legally trained, however, this point deserves some thought and you need to be informed before asking for our Risk Assessments.

If you would prefer to check we have them in place, rather than seeing them then you can follow this link the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority website and enter our details.

Child Protection Policy

All of our Instructors and Staff are DBS checked. Due to data protection laws we are unable to send you copies of individual instructors DBS, however these are checked under our AALA License by the HSE. A copy of our full child protection policy is available on request.

Instructor Qualifications

All of our Instructors and Staff hold the relevant qualifications for the activities they are instructing. Where no such qualification exists, additional training, assessment or monitoring is carried out. Due to data protection laws we are unable to send you copies of individual instructors qualifications, however these are checked under our AALA License by the HSE.
