Brighton is a popular tourist destination, and the seafront has so many sights to see but have you ever seen these sights from the other side, looking back on to the land from the water? It makes a wonderful seaside town that much more special. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any previous kayaking experience to enjoy this wonderful view. We have highly qualified instructors that will kit you up and run through how to use the equipment before heading out on to the water.
From our base in Brighton Marina we will paddle East and explore the quiet sleepy side of Brightons coast. Paddling under the chalk cliffs we head towards Ovingdean and Rottingdean.
Our instructors will be on hand to help you keep control of your kayak and head in a straight line, which is genuinely one of the hardest things about kayaking.
At the end of the session, our instructors can take you through a capsize drill - if you haven’t already fallen in! This part of the day is not compulsory but it is great fun, and will really boost your confidence to take your new skills to the next level and continue kayaking. You can join our Discover Kayaking Award to progress further and fully immerse yourself in this new sport.
