Aim
A taster session into the world of abseiling especially those with a view to completing a charity abseiling event.
Who is it for?
Perfect for the complete beginner who wants to experience abseiling for the first time, or those wishing to complete one of our charity abseiling events or those tackling the Spinnaker Tower abseil in Portsmouth.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites however, you will need to walk up some very steep stairs.
Abseiling Experience Info.
During the experience, you will normally get 3-4 abseils depending on the speed of the group on the day.
Abseiling History
Abseiling, or rappelling as it is also known, was originally used to get back to the ground after rock climbing or to access sea cliffs, but these days abseiling has become a popular activity in its own right. Many people also use abseiling as a platform to raise money for a good cause by taking part in a charity abseil.

After a safety briefing, we introduce you to the abseiling equipment and abseil techniques, then you'll soon be abseiling down our indoor 15ft wall.

For all abseiling courses you must have extra warm clothes and waterproofs, we will provide you with a full kit list upon booking.
