First Aid at Work (2 Day Requalification)
The HSE First Aid at Work – Requalification course is run over 2 days (12hrs) and offers those candidates with a current First Aid a Work certificate looking to refresh their training from 3 years ago. Successful completion of this course will re-validate candidates who may be fulfilling the role of first aider in the workplace for another 3 years.
Being a first aider entitles candidates to take charge of first aid arrangements at the worksplace that may include stocking the first aid supplies, managing incidents and providing support to colleagues if accidents occur. This requalification enables and refreshes these vital skills for larger organisations and their first aid requirements.
Each student comes away with a First Aid at Work Course pack which includes a personal first aid manual, face shield, dressing, triangular bandage and certificate that validates them for a further 3 years.

- Priorities of treatment
- Primary & Secondary Assessments
- Adult CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation)
- Heart Attacks
- Bleeding
- Shock

- Heat & Cold Injuries
- Practical and Written Assessments

Aim
To teach the individual to be able to deal with a range of first aid injuries from fainting, bleeding and broken bones to epilepsy and heart attacks.

Prerequisites
The candidate must have a current First Aid at Work certificate.
This First Aid at Work requalification course is spread over 2 days. Both days will be 6 hours long with coffee and lunch breaks.
