A binding contract with Hatt Events comes into existence as soon as Hatt Events receives the Booking Form and deposit (as set out in Payment) confirming your acceptance of our quote or proposal. The Group accepts that the Lead Customer has the authority to deal with Hatt Events on The Group’s behalf. If for any reason the Lead Customer changes, we should be notified in writing immediately. The Lead Customer must be authorised to make the booking on the basis of these Booking Conditions by all The Participants the booking and their parent or guardian for all party members who are under 18 when the booking is made. You must check all documents (including any tickets or vouchers) which we send to you and contact us at once if any information appearing on the proposal form or any other document appears to be inaccurate or incomplete.
Details of The Event including the program outline, kit requirements and start / finish times are supplied to The Group after booking and prior to attending The Event.
A 50% deposit of the total costs of The Event must be received at the time of booking. The balance must be paid 30 days before the commencement of The Event. If The Group fails to make the final payment due, on time Hatt Events reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled by The Group and will make charges as set out in (Cancellations by The Group).
Prices quoted to the Lead Customer at the time of enquiry are correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of quote. The Quote is valid for 30 days from the date stated upon The Quote. It is possible that prices may change within 30 days from the date stated upon The Quote; we will notify the Lead Customer immediately if this is the case.
Please note that The Quote is based upon the minimum number of The Participants required for The Event. Should less than the minimum number of The Participants take part in The Event full payment is still required. Should more than the minimum number of The Participants take part in The Event then additional fees will be payable by The Group to Hatt Events no later than 14 days after The Event.
If The Group cancels The Event within 30 days prior to the first day of The Event, 50% of The Event fees will be forfeit to Hatt Events. If the Group cancels The Event outside of 30 days prior to the first day of The Event then 25% of The Event fees will be forfeit to Hatt Events. If The Group has not made final payment 30 days prior to the first day of The Event, 50% of The Event fees will be forfeit to Hatt Events.
Hatt Events reserves the right to cancel or alter The Event. If The Event is cancelled (through no fault of The Group) an alternative date will be offered to The Group or a full refund will be given. If, through no fault of Hatt Events, The Event cannot be pursued due to health and safety considerations and no alternative can be found, no refund will be given. No liability for consequential loss is accepted by Hatt Events.
The Group is advised to insure themselves against cancellation, personal injury and loss or damage to belongings and equipment. All of The Events that are dependent on the weather will only run if it is safe to do so. Hatt Events is insured with public liability cover for £5 million in respect of all of The Events.
The Participants are responsible for any equipment loaned to them for the duration of The Event and will be liable for any loss or damage to the equipment unless such loss or damage is caused through “wear and tear.” Hatt Events cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or theft of The Participants’ belongings.
Hatt Events may take photos or video recordings of The Course for use in advertising and associated media. The Participant may at the time of The Event request not to have such recordings taken. The photos and video recordings remain the property of Hatt Events, and reserve the right to use these images without giving notice to The Client or paying any royalties. We will however endeavour to ensure that The Client receives a digital copy of the images.
Where accommodation is needed on any of The Events, The Group shall pay for their own accommodation and catering unless pre-arranged or advertised. Where accommodation & catering are provided Hatt Events cannot be held responsible for the client while on these premises or for the catering.
Hatt Events cannot accept any liability for any loss or injury caused by medical conditions that were not disclosed to Hatt Events on the booking or medical forms and to The Instructor prior to The Event commencing. Disclosure of a medical condition will not necessarily prevent The Participant from attending The Event.
The Participant must be over 18 years of age or if under 18 years of age accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. For all water sports The Participant must be able to swim a minimum of 50m fully clothed.

“Rock climbing, abseiling, mountaineering, bushcraft, survival, kayaking, and surfing are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.”
Hatt Events will not be responsible for any loss or injury caused to The Participant during The Event if that loss or injury is caused by The Participant's own negligence.
Safety is of utmost importance; therefore The Participant must act on any requests that are made by The Instructor in the interests of health and safety. The Instructor will terminate The Event immediately for any Participant who refuses to act on their instructions.
