Spoon Carving and Cordage Making

This day is perfect for those that are interested in learning the craft side of bushcraft without having to sleep out in the wild! Learn how to carve your very own spoon using just a knife and crook knife which you will get to keep. You can create anything from a tea spoon to a table spoon and if your feel really adventurous you could even try making a ladle! We also teach you how to make cordage with which you can hand up or decorate your spoon. We also look at knife design, safe tool use and maintaining your tools.

Aim
To teach the principles of safe tool use and how to carve a spoon and make cordage.

Who it's for
Anyone with and interest in wood working or the arts and crafts.

None.

You will get your very own crook knife to use and keep.

Equipment Needed
Comfortable clothing and footwear. Due to the nature of the locations, you must have extra warm clothes and waterproofs. We will provide you with a kit list.
