Kayaking on the River Arun - Stopham Bridge (Near Pulborough) to Pallingham Quay
The River Arun cuts through a beautiful section of the South Downs with steep hills either side of the river, tall reeds, the occasional lily and great wildlife spotting opportunities! Along the way you’ll be passing under picturesque old railway bridges and taking full advantage of the beautiful views whilst enjoying being out paddling on the water. Surrounded by woodland and open fields, this is the perfect way to enjoy the English countryside at it’s best. Plus if you have a keen eye for wildlife it’s likely that you’ll spot a kingfisher on the way!

The trip is suitable for both beginners and regular paddlers, our highly qualified instructors will adapt the day to suit you which allows you to enjoy the river and its surroundings at your own pace regardless of your ability as a paddler!
There are plenty of other river trips to choose from in the Sussex and Kent area including; the River Cuckmere, the River Medway and the River Ouse. Most rivers are tidal, meaning we can only paddle them on certain dates and times, please contact us to find out more.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this trip, but you must be able to swim 50m and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

Suitable clothing for the time of year should be worn. A complete change of clothes with appropriate footwear is also needed. We will provide you with a kit list upon booking.Must be able to swim 50m fully clothed (2 lengths of a standard pool).
