Kayaking and Raft Building Day
This purely water-based combo is perfect for those water babies wanting to learn the basic skills necessary for this exciting sport followed by the adventure and fun of raft building. The morning will be spent kayaking out on the lake; learning how to manoeuvre your boat around, basic techniques (including how to capsize safely if you’re feeling daring!) and competing in some water based games.
In the afternoon you will be putting your knot tying and raft design expertise to the ultimate test. You and your group are pushed out on to the water on your handmade craft so you’d better make sure it’ll survive or you’ll be swimming your way back to shore! Great fun whether you are fortified knot tying expert or you have trouble even tying your laces.
This combination day is a fantastic opportunity to learn some new and useful skills while having a bit of a different day out with friends, for that special occasion or maybe just for the fun of it!
