In modern day life people are finding it harder and harder to find the time to do any form of exercise. For many people having a personal trainer is a great way of motivating themselves, monitoring their improvement and achieving their goals, whether they are for general health and fitness or for improving performance in a sport. Personal training sessions are run by Tom Hatt, training takes place in your own home or surrounding area thus saving you time on traveling to a gym. Tom is based in the Brighton and Hove area, but travels throughout Sussex if required. Whether you are looking for weekly or monthly training sessions or just a personal program every couple of months, he will provide the type of training program that you require.
All personal trainers vary in their ideas and approach to training, Tom comes from a sports orientated background but also understands that many people are looking to improve their lifestyle by getting fit and healthy. Tom tailors his training to each of his clients teaching them in the way that they respond to best; some people prefer empathy and encouragement, others a more rigorous and challenging approach.
Tom believes very strongly in "cross training" as a way to combine skills from one sport to another as it stimulates the mind and tests the body. A sport such as rock climbing whilst being exciting is also building your arm, back and leg muscles, It also enhances your balance, co-ordination and works the body in ways that would be difficult to achieve in a gym. On the other hand, a sport like kayaking improves your core stability, arm and back muscles and your confidence in the water.
The first Session lasts up 1 hour. We will look at your aims, expectations, and your current fitness levels. Based on this he will design a personal program that is suitable for you and realistic to your aims and time available.
Most training sessions are 1 hour, but for specific training he can vary session lengths, contact us for more details and prices.
We supply all equipment needed for your training session: mats, fit balls, dumbbells, ankle weights etc. All you need is a pair of trainers and some comfortable clothing. If you have equipment in your home that you would like to utilize, we can incorporate it into to the program.
Training can take place either at your home, work or a location of your choice.
Tom can train you and a friend if both parties are of a similar fitness and skill level, and both have the same aims and objectives.

For areas more than 15 miles from the center of Brighton, there will be an additional charge of £10 to cover travel costs.
