Wilderness First Aid - ECP Explorer Medicine

ECP Explorer Medicine First Aid Course
This 1 day ECP Explorer First Aid course is for all outdoor enthusiasts, from walkers and trekkers to outdoor instructors, and is designed to give the individual a thorough grounding in wilderness medicine. It is an extremely practical, hands-on first aid course, and covers a range of skills needed for those faced with first aid situations in remote outdoor environments.
This 'Explorer' First Aid course exceeds the recommendations for the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work, covering the essential first aid skills while going above and beyond the necessary skills required to 'just pass the assessment' in a fresh and stimulating manner.
The course consists of a mixture of practical classroom based sessions and fully practical outdoor first aid scenarios, with real hands-on learning giving the student both the grounding in theory and practice, strengthening their knowledge of wilderness first aid and its application in emergency situations.
On completion of the course, you will receive a recognised first aid certificate (valid for 3 years). You will also be given some first aid kit of your own, including a personal first aid manual, face shield, dressing and triangular bandage.
