ECP Advanced Explorer Medicine Course
This 2 day in-depth course is designed for group leaders working overseas. If taken on its own, this course surpasses the specificiations for the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work, if completed within 3 months of the Exploration Medicine Course or the Venturer Medicine Course this course will exceed the recommendations for the HSE approved First Aid at Work and builds on the skills already gained in the two day exploration medicine course.
All the Wilderness First Aid Courses are designed by the Royal Army Medical Corps Trauma Medics and outdoor adventure trainers, ensuring students will receive the most up to date and comprehensive in outdoor medical training.
This first aid course teaches group leaders methods and procedures of evacuation, planning for extremes of temperatures and tropical disease knowledge and prevention as well as that listed below. This fully equips students for working in foreign climates and remote locations where medical assistance and access is compromised due to location or lack of medical facilities.
The course mixes both classroom based lessons and outdoor practical scenarios with real hands on learning. Along with a practical assessment and written examination, at the end of the course students will feel fully competent in using their first aid knowledge, offering useful skills to groups when they are both at home and abroad.
If the ECP Advanced Exploration Course is completed within 3 months of the Exploration Medicine Course or the Venturer Medicine Course students will be awarded the HSE First Aid at Work certificate, valid for three years and recognised by all outdoor and workplace governing bodies. They will also take home with them a personal first aid manual, face shield, dressing, and triangular bandage to keep in their kit and refresh their skills as time progresses.

Prerequisites
Must have attended our ECP Exploration Medicine or ECP Venturer Medicine course.
This course is recognised by all UK outdoor governing bodies e.g. MLTUK, BCU, RYA, BEL, BCA, BKSA, BASI, GNAS, IRATA etc. as well as exceeding the recommendations for the HSE Emergency First Aid at Work.
