Family Climbing Adventure

Have a Family Day out Rock Climbing
Take the whole family out for a day and learn to rock climb, what better way to spend more time together as a family than by taking up a new hobby? Rock climbing can be enjoyed by everyone, young and old alike, and climbing outdoors on beautiful Southern Sandstone is an experience not to be missed.
Whether you’re wanting to try climbing with a view to taking it up as a hobby or just want to have a fun-filled family day out, the course will be tailored to your abilities and aspirations. Booking as a family group you will get your own experienced and qualified instructor who will work with you personally and teach you the basics, giving you useful tips and tricks along the way. You will learn how to belay (safely hold the ropes) for other climbers and how to make the best use of the rock's features for your hands and feet.
Rock climbing is fantastic for keeping fit and is a great alternative to get your kids (or even your partner!) excited about sport if the more conventional sports don’t appeal, they will be having so much fun they will hardly even notice they’re doing exercise! Rock climbing is also a brilliant bonding experience as you will be trusting each other to hold the ropes and giving words of encouragement. You will be guaranteed to finish your day buzzing with a real sense of adventure and achievement when you look back at the climbs you and your family have conquered, and may even be planning your next climbing adventure...!
The rocks in the Southern Sandstone area are located in beautiful woodland, ideally situated 45 minutes from either London or Brighton.
