About
This two day Peak District climbing holiday is designed for those wanting to experience climbing outdoors on some of the UK's finest crags. Led by our highly experienced and qualified climbing instructors you will develop and improve your climbing skills and learn how to make the best use of the rock's features for your hands and feet.

Who is it for?
Our Peak District climbing holiday is suitable for most abilities. Our climbing instructors will tailor this climbing course to suit each individuals needs. We will set up the ropes allowing you to concentrate on developing at your own pace (be it cranking on overhangs or just getting your feet off the ground!) This is not designed as a beginners climbing course, however novice climbers are  welcome - please contact us to discuss.  We would recommend that those who haven’t climbed before join us for our rock climbing experience or introduction to climbing course.

Prerequisites
A reasonable level of fitness is required.

During this climbing holiday we base ourselves in Hathersage, Peak District.  Hathersage is ideally suited for easy access to some of the Peak Districts finest crags. Hathersage also boasts a number of good climbing shops, cafés and pubs to relax in after a day of climbing.

Day 1
We usually meet in a café and enjoy breakfast.   Introductions are made and our climbing instructors can discuss your climbing experience and identify the best climbing location to suit your needs.  Throughout the course your climbing instructors will set up all the ropes, leaving you to concentrate fully on your climbing.  At the rocks we’ll go at your pace.  Half way through we will stop for lunch (you’ll need to bring a packed lunch) before climbing again.  In the evening after a quick relax we often get together in the local pub for a spot of dinner and a drink.

Day 2
Our climbing instructors will take you to a different outcrop of rocks to add variety to your climbing experience.  Having seen you climb the day before our climbing instructors will be able to set personal goals and coach you on your climbing technique and style.  Depending on ability our instructors may also set up an abseil for those that wish. At the end of the climbing holiday our instructors can offer advice regarding your own personal progression in the sport of rock climbing.

March to October, please see the calendar for the next available dates.

Brilliant course. Learnt so much and was really impressed with the level of instruction. It was great to experience climbing in a different location and to climb with some great people! Would definitely join Hatt Adventures in the Peaks again!

This was a brilliant weekend in an amazing location. I lost count of how many climbs we did and defiantly felt my skills had improved at the end of the course. Am looking forward to going on another climbing weekend very soon.

for me day 1 was about adapting to the environment -rock type, scale & changeable weather. Day 2 -more new skills & loads of practice. I also learnt loads from watching others on the course & other climbers in the area. Facilitation was excellent & allowed the group to pace itself.
