Kayaking experience courses in Sussex- an ideal taster session to learn the basics of Kayaking, whether you're looking to take up kayaking or just want a fun afternoon out! Courses take place on selected lakes in Sussex so you can learn to paddle your kayak and play some games in a safe surrounding.
Canoe Experience
Try this Canoing Experience; splash around and have a great time learning some key canoeing techniques while exploring the lake and playing some games! This is a great opportunity to get started in this fantastic sport or just to have a fun afternoon out with a difference.
BCU - Kayak 1 Star Award
The British Canoe Union's 1 star award is designed to be the first step in becoming a paddler, learning the paddle stokes needed to control the kayak through the water, the safety aspects of kayaking with others including capsize procedures, and the theory behind the sport.
BCU - Canoe 1 Star Award
The British Canoe Union's 1 star award is the essential first step in becoming a canoeist, gaining the basic knowledge and personal paddle strokes needed to control the canoe safely and efficiently through the water and learning important aspects of the sport that will take you throgh your 1 Star Assessment and beyond.
BCU - 2 Star Award
The British Canoe Union's 2 star award is designed as an improvement award helping paddlers to develop the fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water. Skills will be gained and assessed in both canoes and kayaks to develop water proficiency and experience.
BCU - 3 Star Surf Kayak - Training
This course is designed for a competent flat water paddler and is the ideal preparation and training for the BCU 3 Star Surf Kayak Assessment, or just for the fun and the surfing skills for those who want to progress their kayaking skills and have a new adventure!
BCU - 3 Star Surf Kayak - Assessment
The 3 star surf is a one day assessment but we have converted it into a 2 day course, with the first day as a warm up and skills refresher and the second day as the assessment to give you practise and allow you to perform at your best.
BCU - 3 Star White Water Kayak - Training
This course is aimed at someone with good flat water skills who wants to progress onto white water rivers with a view to taking a 3 star assessment or just to have fun and develop their kayaking skills in a new and exciting environment! The thrill of kayaking white water is unlike anything else and is sure to leave you wanting more!
BCU - 3 Star White Water Kayak - Assessment
The BCU 3 Star White Water Award is a one day assessment, however we have converted it into a 2 day course, with the first day as a warm up and skills refresher and the second day as the assessment to enable you to perform at your highest possible standard. This award will broaden your paddling skills and open up your world of kayaking!
