BCU - 3 Star White Water Kayak - Training

Prepare for the 3 Star White Water Kayak Award with this Training Course
If you have significant kayaking experience and would like to learn how to kayak white water with a view to taking the BCU 3 Star White Water Kayak Assessment (formerly known as the BCU 3 Star Inland Kayak Assessment) or just for the fun and to learn some new kayak skills, this course is for you. Using grade 2 rivers, our experienced instructors will teach you how to plan for a river trip, read the water, break in and out of 'eddies' and 'ferry glide' across the river among other skills.
This course is an ideal progression if you have previously taken the BCU 2 Star Award and wish to simply develop your kayaking skills and explore a different, exciting aspect of the sport, or take the BCU 3 Star White Water Kayak assessment. White water is a very different experience to kayaking on flat water so get ready for a challenge and see kayaking in a whole new light!
If you have already tried white water kayaking and feel competent enough you can choose to go straight for the BCU 3 Star White Water Kayak Assessment, however it recommended that you undergo this training course first.
If you are an experienced kayaker but fancy a different kind of kayaking adventure, why not try Surf Kayaking?
